Overview of CA Foundation 2026

CA Foundation 2026 Exam Pattern & Subjects

The CA Foundation exam in 2026 has four parts. Some parts ask you to write responses, while others present selections for you to choose from

• Business Laws & Business Correspondence and Reporting (100 Marks)

• Mathematical, statistical, and reasoning skills (quantitative aptitude) (100 marks)

Key Points:

• We have three examinations each year, in May or June, in September, and in January.

• You need a minimum of 40 percent on each assignment. For an overall passing grade, all of your work must be 50 percent or above.

• You may write in pen, on paper, without internet.

• You may write in English, or you can write in Hindi. You will need to write in English for a portion of the test’s second section.

• When you take a multiple choice test, they subtract one-fourth of a point for every incorrect answer. It occurs just during tests three, or four.

Eligibility Criteria for CA Foundation 2026

• Students require a high school diploma, or they can finish an approved alternative.

• You can register while you are in tenth grade, but you need to finish high school before you take the exam.

• Graduates with a bachelor’s degree, or a master’s degree, can take the CA Intermediate exam directly. They do not need to complete the Foundation exam beforehand.

• You register on the ICAI website through the Self-Service Portal.

• You can use it for three years once you register. You have six chances to use it.

• You need to study for four months, or more, after registration before you can attempt the test.

New Syllabus of CA Foundation Course 2026

The CA Foundation exam for 2026 consists of a syllabus grouped around four central topics, each supporting a balanced understanding of the student’s knowledge base tested on the exam. On July 1, 2023, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India provided an updated syllabus. The 2026 CA Foundation syllabus will first be utilized by students through the June 2024 exam.

Papers and Marking Scheme

The test has four parts, each worth 100 points

Paper 1: Principles and Practice of Accounting

• It teaches the core ideas of accounting, helping students make financial reports, tackle simple accounting issues, work with confidence.

Paper 2: Business Laws

• This material teaches important business law ideas, so people learn the rules then use them when dealing with actual business issues.

Paper 3: Quantitative Aptitude

This has three parts

• Business math covers the essential math skills you need for work with money, like in stores or banks.

• This section tests your thinking skills with problems involving patterns, codes, routes, how people sit, brain teasers, connections between things. It’s worth 20 points.

• Statistics, worth forty marks, teaches you how to use numbers to understand business issues or economic trends.

CA Foundation Admit Card 2026

You can get your admit card online once you finish registering, send in your application, pay the required fees. Students may get their exam admission card online, using their ID with their password. They need to bring this card with them to the testing location.

CA Foundation Result 2026

We will post the findings on the ICAI website. Students use their student ID, together with their password, to see their grades. ICAI publishes a list recognizing the 50 students with the highest scores.
